But the disturbing thing is, that means there are over 300,000 worthless dupes out there. What a waste. No wonder most of the companies went under. They tried to dupe us to death. Good riddance.

Demand more original songs. Come on manufacturers. You're killin' us.
Yes, it is a shame, but understandable to some extent. Every karaoke manufacturer wants to release songs that are getting the most airplay and selling the most singles. And then marketing ploys are responsible for manufacturers releasing the same song on multiple discs. Seems they all need to put together the "package deals. "club packs", or special disc series.

What I don't understand is why someone hasn't decided to release the more obscure songs. You know, the ones on popular albums that didn't top the charts as singles. There are tons of great songs that have not been released as karaoke.

When the Lost Classic series came out, I don't think one song they did was done by any other company before them. That was 150 brand new songs.

Taylor Swift has the right idea. She makes every album a karaoke disc.

If the artists and groups from yore would make their albums karaoke discs they could literally make another fortune. They would hold the rights and no middle man would be making money from them. The music tracks are there. Hire someone to do the word sweeps and copy the discs.

Not a lot of work involved to make a lot of money. Release them as the albums. Not singles.

Think about how many albums you bought as a kid. Those sings are all in your memory and you could sing along with everyone of them.

They are missing out on a major source of easy income. They literally could hit the charts again. Creating radio play and renewed popluarity. Leading to touring again if they wanted to. It's nothing to sneeze at as far as the untapped income potential.
