Sounds to me like Sound Choice has gone over the deep end. This is absolutely ridiculous that you can't have a back-up copy, are renting the songs, and, if I read correctly, can't give you permission to use these in a public venue.

I recetly had a KJ tell me, though, that business has slowed down ever since they opened their third show at a location.

Is is possible to have too many karaoke nights at one location? With the same KJ?

Sounds like too much of a pain in the a$$ for me to deal with.

A couple of my regulars were KJ's and have the complete set of Pioneer Laser discs. They would like to convert them to a cd+g format. Any ideas?

I can find a converter for cdg to avi, but not the other way around.

I tend to believe that a rotation cap would be show killer. I've never heard of anyone doing that. :shock: There are so many variables involved that I think we have to be flexible, yet remain fair and consistant. I haven't used any of the software you mentioned. I use JustKaraoke from Tricerasoft. At $25 you can't beat it. It keeps singer rotation and history and is VERY easy to use.
