Kiddie karaoke parties

Post by knails56 »

I was wondering how many of you have added kiddie karaoke parties and just what you might charge. I've got some good Ideas but thought I might pick some Karaoke brains too
I live in a fairly small town of 45,000. We play for weddings and bars but I want to add Kiddie "Rock star" Karaoke. Any advice for me?

Be prepared to play the same song 12 times in a row. Once one kid hears a song they all want to pick that one. You can't tell them no and look like a good guy. This is for the under 15 kids. Be prepared to help them by singing along because they can't read. The parents won't help them usually.

Make sure the swear words songs aren't in the book. Moms and Dads love it when the kids sing those for Gram and Gramps.

I planned on not buying Liability Insurance until a little girl came running up to my table all excited and slipped on one of my wires and landed flat on her back. I bought a policy the very next day.

The only thing that saved me was the fact that she was embarrassed about wiping out and she immediately jumped up like nothing happened. I know she took a pretty good shot. It was enough to scare me into buying insurance.
