Does anyone know how to Convert Super CD+gs back to mp3+gs
I want to get everything back on computer
we bought the songs online and downloaded them and then made super cdgs but now we want to put everything on computer so we can just use the computer for our shows.
super cd+g to mp3+g
You will need the CAVS Decoder CDG software to extract the song tracks to BIN files and MP3+G Toolz to decode the BIN files to MP3+G files.
Hold on, there is more to it than that. SCDG's basically contain MP3+G's in MCG format encoded in a small number of very large .dat files. Decorder CDG DOES NOT extract the individual files from those large dat files. All it can do is conver the MCG graphics file to CDG graphics file or other such conversions as listed on their site. The only place I am aware of that you can get an SCDG ripper is from KJAmp (the RoxBox folks). You can find it at http://www.kjamp.com/RBKP03.php
Also, when you get it, it does come with a version of the Decoder CDG to then decode the MCG files to CDG. Ultimately what you end up with is MP3+G (CDG) files from your SCDG disc.

oh and one other question was asked here by bigdog about quality loss. The MP3+G's you pull from the SCDG will not lose any quality. The songs are already in MP3 format inside the .dat files. The dat files are really just the MP3 files and MCG files written into one long file sequentially. So all the extraction process has to do is locate the beginning of each MP3 and each MCG and pull them out. So the quality of the extracted MP3 will be the same as the original disc.
Most of the professional SCDG's I've had experience with were encoded at 192K so the quality is pretty good. However there are some that are only 128K so you get some "artifacts" that can be a little unpleasant.
