It really depends on what needs you have. Powered speakers are good if you have a mixer but do not have an amplifier. Pretty good for say an easy load up but might be limited on power.darcar wrote:I was wondering what kind of speakers to get powered or non powered
If you have an amplifier or a mixer/amplifier then all you really need are unpowered speakers that are well matched to your amplifier. In this setup if your mixer have more than one line out then powered speakers might make good Monitors for your singer as you can adjust the output level to a level that won't cause feedback unless your mike is really sensative.
