Simple Hosting Software ?
you might wan't to check out roxbox at www.kjamp.com as it contains everything needed to prepare your songs for play, your songlist, and player and rotation management.
RoxBox is simple to use. Not like Hoster. Hoster is a pain in importing MP3+G songs into the database. Roxbox is very forgiving. When running a show you have to know excactly what format your song is in before you even start looking, probably takes you twice as long as Roxbox. RoxBox you type in the song and hit enter and it searches for the words in whatever format it is in. You can even set it to search as you type.DanG2006 wrote:you might wan't to check out roxbox at www.kjamp.com as it contains everything needed to prepare your songs for play, your songlist, and player and rotation management.
Hoster does not have a singer's history so your regulars can get their slot early.
Yes Hoster is a stand alone while RoxBox depends on winamp and it's plugins all of which is included with RoxBox with the exception of the disc playing plugin of which I can tell you is buggy as all et out. It would be better to keep a cdg player for outside discs until Frank from RoxBox gets his new standalone up and running to replace RoxBox. That program should have everything that RoxBox has with the addition of being able to run as a standalone with cd access. RoxBox does allow use of the operation of the other disc playing plugin which is an extra cost to get it running outside of RoxBox. The price of RoxBox includes the registration of the frontend and the keychanger. It is compatable with Pentium II to today's processors and from 98SE to XP Pro. So it will run on more computers than Hoster or the other Stand alones.
Menat to say that with hoster you have to know all that before doing a search. with RoxBox you only have to know your info. The search engine does the rest.DanG2006 wrote:RoxBox is simple to use.
