Dust On The Equipment

Post by Bigdog »

The dust is still piling up on my equipment.

I thought all the dust on my equipment was from cigarette smoke residue.

I figured quitting all my smoking jobs would eliminate the dust. It's just as heavy now as it was before.

It's been a year since I stopped smoking bars. Now that only means the bars are very dusty places. So where is all the dust coming from?

Most of the bars don't have carpeting or curtains or blankets or anything else that you would think causes dust like in our houses. So what and where is it coming from. Any ideas?

The only good thing is the equipment doesn't smell like smoke anymore.

Virtually anything will generate dust of some kind.

People coming through doors from outside, patting clothes, spraying air freshener generates lots, wiping down tables with a dry cloth, etc.

Eventually, it must settle somewhere and your gear is a prime target, due to potential electrostatic charges attracting the dust like a mgnet.
