A new problem?
It is for me anyway.
Hopefully, I can find a little help here. I have no idea why it's happening and I'm not very good at the technical aspects of computing.
Recently, my karaoke player (KaraFun) apparently stopped being able to play the music (MP3) files in the karaoke zipfiles I've been using with it. In other words, I get the lyrics on the screen, but no sound.
I'm not having a problem with audio. The MP3 files will play... just not on a karaoke player. I tried several free players, including Tricera's player and the same thing happens.
Any ideas?

Can I ask for a bit of clarification, please.
1)You are attempting to play CDG+MP3, correct? Not directly from .ZIP?
2)MP3 files play with other media players, e.g. Winamp, Media Player?
If 2) is correct, then there is no reason I can think off that Karafun shouldn't play MP3 files as well.
I've downloaded and tried the software and it certainly works O.K. on my PC.
I can't see anything in the help and Options menus that enable or disable MP3 files, so really this is very odd.
I would suggest uninstalling and re-installing a new download of Karafun and see how you get on.

No, I'm trying to play from whatever KaraFun lists in the playlist. I'm assuming that it's the zipfile, but it could be the two files that are in the zipfile. It used to work just fine. Now it doesn't.
And, as soon as the problem showed up, I download the newest update of KaraFun and installed it. It didn't help.
I realize that the problem probably isn't with the KaraFun program. But it is happening.
I'm just hoping that somebody has some idea as to why and how to fix it.
I just don't know enough about the technical side of computing to have a clue.

I honestly don't know if the drive path changed but, if it did, why would the CDG part of the songs still play?Bigdog wrote:Did the file path change?
I have external hard drives and if they get disconnected sometimes the drive letter changes and nothing will play until the drive letter is changed back to what it was.
with Karafun it doesn't matter if the drive letter changes or not. The list would blank out if it changed. I would run anti-virus as soon as possible because their is something wrong with your computer. Do you have access to another computer and a means of transferring both karafun and your file or files to test it out to make sure it is the player or the computer.

I get an error message that says the file is not accessable and to check the file path. They will not play and they won't even allow me to put them in the queue.Blind Gregory wrote:I honestly don't know if the drive path changed but, if it did, why would the CDG part of the songs still play?Bigdog wrote:Did the file path change?
