Listened to Cocker and it's turned up to 11. Not the same feeling.
Listened to Jewel and she's a bit too country.
Listened to Mandy Moore and she's very nearly got what I'm looking for. However it's got a high Pop contrast and I'm going with something more simple.

I think you are being a little picky.

I listened on Youtube to the Haitt version and I at first thought it was Cocker singing it.

I also listened to the Cocker version...If you can't make that work you're in trouble because there are no other versions available.
