Buried in Snow.

Post by Bigdog »

It's been several days since the major snow storm. I get to the job tonight and the stage entrance is buried not only from the 2 feet of fallen snow but the snow plow piled everything up on the sidewalk too.

I went in the front door. It takes longer to get through the bar but it's much better than me spending an hour shoveling the sidewalk and half the parking lot.

This is a place of businesss that is inviting hundreds of people a day into the establishment. They have left themselves open for multiple lawsuits from slips and falls on snow covered sidewalks and parking spaces. Not to mention the law or ordinance that says sidewalks are to be cleared within 24-48 hours after the snow stops falling.

There are 2 handicapped spaces in front of the door. Only one was cleaned out. The other is buried under a 5 foot pile of snow. The main sidewalk to the bar has a path cleared a little wider than a snow shovel.

I know I'll be using the front door until summer.

I know where they keep the snow shovel.

The first person that says anything about my trips through the bar is going to have the shovel handed to them. 8)

More snow coming Wednesday and Sunday night. We are already 25 inches over our yearly average total. Girlfriend's gonna really get some good use from that Valentines snow blower. Better than stupid flowers that would have been dead already. Or chocolates that would have turned to fat by now. The gift that will keep on giving. No chiropractor bills. No heart attack.

I sure hope my roof can hold all that snow.

An area man already died when he fell off his roof when he went up to shovel.

Hmmmmm get killed falling off or get killed under it when it caves in. :? Decisions, decisions.

Another snow cancellation...

Left the house after I got the OK to work and 15 minutes later he called during my drive. Luckily I was approaching an exit and looped back home. I only drove 10 minutes.
