what karaore player to choose

Post by NATALYA »

Dear Sirs

I need your advice. I am fond of karaoke singing. The thing is that I want to by a Professional Karaoke to home for a room 20-25 sq. m (I have at home old Samsung, but I want to change it, since I sick and tied of mp3 compressed sound). I would like to have a professional !! sound/not compressed) and formats of professional music arrangements and already looked through many web -cites (Cavs 199, VokoPro, Acesonic KOD-650 and others but I need the advice, I do not know what to choose). My main requirements are a good alive sound, a big choice of new songs of hi-fi !! quality and possibility to update the base with new ones. Can you explain me in a plain language (not overloaded with a lot of technical characteristics) the difference between them and advice what player to choose. And what are terms and price of delivery to Russia, Moscow. What amplifier will match to it the best? I have Devis Acoustic speakers.

Hi Natalya
I checked some of the players on your list, but if read corectly these all stll play the mp3+CDG. ok need a little more info. I am not familiar with the speakers, what type of conections do they have? do you already have cdg disc's the players you listed are quit costly if you have a laptop computer you can download a kj program(not sure were your desk top computer is in relation to were you plan to play karaoke but it can be run on that) there are many out there. I use roxbox by kjamp. I bought the karaoke suite cost is minimal and it includes a cdg ripper supercdg ripper and song book generater for $99.00.and the tech support is outstanding! you just plug your audio out from your computer into your amp(here again you have alot of options) you also need to plug in mic's, so you can go with a karaoke mixing amplifer or get a powered mixer eather will give you all the inputs you need. Just a matter of what you feel comfertible using, personly i like the powerd mixer.you can put a whole system together for almost the cost of the cavs player alone. Hope this helped

Cavs Costs more than getting a decent laptop and Compuhost or MTU's Video Hoster combined. That is the route that I took (Compuhost).

Music stores sell PA (Public Address) systems. These include the Mixer, amplifier, speakers, microphones and cables you will need. Your budget will determine the type of PA system you can afford. Good sound doesn't come cheap.

Music is not cheap. You will need to get the music off (rip) the CD+Gs and into your computer. So they can be played by your "hosting" software.

Search (Google) for PA systems or live sound systems. There are PA packages available.
