New KJ, I have some questions
Re: New KJ, I have some questions
I'm drinking my commie coolaid and watching President Trump kick butt.. Criminals like Clinton won't win. "O" had seven years to do something about the economy..he did nothing...what happened to the shovel ready jobs program...NOTHING Why is the National debt increasing? Why is unemployment still increasing...if you use the real numbers...not the Hokus pokus Washington numbers. Where is the middle class? Why are companies still leaving the U.S. for Mexico? Why are the borders still unsecured? Why are banks still failing...
Re: New KJ, I have some questions
Why don't you enlighten us to what the REAL numbers are and where you found them?Bigdog wrote:I'm drinking my commie coolaid and watching President Trump kick butt.. Criminals like Clinton won't win. Re: New KJ, I have some questions
The banks are failing because they haven't learned from their mistakes. "O" had obstructing Republicans to deal with that when there was a jobs bill they just let it die in committee. OH and better Clinton than Trump. He'd let the weakest members of our society die homeless in the name of trickle down economics.
Re: New KJ, I have some questions
Actually, the banks are too big to fail and corporate America is doing better than it has in decades. Bigdog doesn't believe the findings of the CBO or the 95% of economists. He has sources for the REAL numbers in the form of conspiracy sites and conservative rags. He seeks out sources that validate what he wants to believe. Those who support Trump are undereducated, racist, fools, looking for a leader. He has zero chance of becoming president.DanG2006 wrote:The banks are failing because they haven't learned from their mistakes. Where is the Middle Class? They have been betrayed by both sides since 1973 when jobs first started being shipped overseas. This and the big business support of illegal immigration, by offering undocumented workers jobs, was all a plan to weaken unions in this country. I think you should check your glass I think someone has slipped you the Corporate Lemonade instead. Oh by the way it was the Republicans that have held up the public works acts, since they did not want to give the President a means to further improve the jobs situation.

As long a people are basically politically lazy, I mean it's a chore just to get voters to the polls, you run the risk of getting something you didn't expect. Hitler was freely elected by the German people, they made him possible.
I'm hopeful that Americans have learned from history, from what I remember history was not a popular course in school. That is why so many times we are forced to continue to repeat past mistakes. I would like to think that a Nationalist Conservative Socialist could not be elected. Trump has already fooled the pundits maybe he will hood wink enough angry middle class whites to win. The problem is voter turn out, if it is high then the Democrats should win, if it is low then the Republicans will win. That is why the Republican controlled state houses have redrawn the district lines, and have tried to limit the minority vote.

Re: New KJ, I have some questions
P.S. If you look at Cruz and Rubio you will find their tax proposals will increase corporate welfare and also raise the debt by some estimates 8 to 10 Trillion dollars. Just like Regan, Bush I and Bush II did. The only President to have a balanced budget was Bill Clinton and we were paying off our debt, wasn't he a Democrat? The Lone Ranger wrote:Bigdog wrote:I'm drinking my commie coolaid and watching President Trump kick butt.. If you look at his actual positions many are just as liberal as Sanders or Clinton. On emigration he is hard line, on health, planned parenthood, cutting the fat out of the Defense Department, and entitlement reform,he is a Democrat. If all of Trump's proposals are enacted it is estimated that he will add 11 trillion dollars to the National Debt by 2026. The reasons business's are still leaving the U.S. is rooted in the fact they have no loyalty or patriotism they are ruled by profits and the bottom line.

Times have changed since the days of Churchill and Hitler. We are in the age of information about what the candidates truly are. They can no longer hide their agendas. Also, you would be hard pressed to find a political analyst who doesn't agree that Trump can not possibly win without a large chunk of the Hispanic vote. There is no way he will get that. He has alienated so many groups that even if he does get the nomination he would lose by a landslide to any Democrat. The Lone Ranger wrote:wiseguy wrote: He has zero chance of becoming president.
This is one thing I'm not so sure about wiseguy. If you look at history you will see many flawed players that eventually overcame many obstacles and obtained power. Lincoln, Churchill, Disraeli, Hitler, Napoleon all shared the plight of being out of favor and out of power, and yet they managed to obtain the highest offices of their respective countries. It is this flawed story of the great man is going to come to power and fix everything. If Hitler would have died after the Munich Conference he might have gone down as the greatest German leader of all time.

Trump isn't hiding his agenda but his constant tweeting and media grandstanding displays his ignorance for all to see. He has not only alienated Hispanics, but also Muslims, women, and everyone with at least average intelligence. If he doesn't stop pissing off the Pope he's going to lose Catholics as well. Voter suppression isn't going to work any better this time around than it did in the last election. The Lone Ranger wrote:wiseguy wrote: Times have changed since the days of Churchill and Hitler. While it is true knowledge is power, a person has to have the will and ability to use the power of knowledge. Trump isn't trying to hide his agenda, he is right out front with it. He just doesn't give any details. Hitler laid out what his agenda was in the book he wrote in prison"Mein Kamph", "My Struggle" translated. It is true that for a Republican to win at least 40% of the Hispanic vote must go Republican. I'm just wondering if the suppression of the minority vote will cause the scales to be tilted? After all Al Gore won the popular vote and still lost the election due to some hanging chads, and a split Supreme Court decision.

Re: New KJ, I have some questions
Hitler never won a majority vote of the German people. The best the Nazi party ever did was around 44% in 1933 and that was a far cry from a free election. Hitler made his way to the top buy force and terror. Remember the brownshirts? There is no comparison between Hitler's rise to power and a Donald Trump getting elected. Trumps constant display of racism and ignorance appeals only to other racist and ignorant people. Unfortunately, that encompasses a large percentage of the Republican party. There is no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of American voters look at Trump as the buffoon he is. He will incite intelligent voters to go to the polls to vote against him.The Lone Ranger wrote:wiseguy wrote: Trump isn't hiding his agenda but his constant tweeting and media grandstanding displays his ignorance for all to see. It is costing him a fraction of what the other candidates have spent, just ask Jeb Bush whose super pac spent big bucks on on Super Bowl ad? After Nevada last night it would seem the voters really don't care about Trump's ignorance or lack of details. Also Cruz and Rubio had spent weeks in Nevada and both had good ground games there in place. They both got beat. This thing with the Pope really didn't seem to hurt him since most American Catholics are of the cafeteria wing of the church. Voter suppression has had some effect since it has made it more difficult to get out the vote for Democrats. Don't get me wrong wiseguy I don't like Trump or what he is doing, it is a mistake to dismiss him as comic relief. After all the voters in Germany thought Hitler was the weird guy with the Charlie Chaplin mustache, who had no chance of getting elected, remember?

The most disturbing thing to come out of Nevada last night was that 45% of the Hispanics that participated in the process voted for Trump, after everything he said about Latinos. Of course that probably only represents the most conservative members of that community, but still that is unbelievable. Especially since people in this group know others personally that would be targeted for mass deportation. Of course Trump will never follow through on his campaign promises, but still that in itself is dangerous. If the American voter is lied to again and nothing gets done in Washington, it could lead to voters losing patience and trust in our whole political system. If that happens it could undo the entire political fabric of this country.

I think you would have to agree that Hitler was never voted into office by the German people in a free election. That was the only point I was making. The Lone Ranger wrote:wiseguy wrote: Hitler never won a majority vote of the German people. Hindenburg appointed Hitler Chancellor and his actions carried the aura of legality, then the brown shirts really started suppressing government opposition. That was because the old general Hindenburg was more afraid of Communists than he was Nazi's a big mistake, not long afterward Hindenburg died and Hitler was then the supreme leader. Hindenburg was elected by the majority of the German people. Once Hitler was Chancellor no other parties were allowed in Germany.

Those were Republican Hispanics voting in Nevada. Latest research indicates that nation wide just 20% of Hispanic voters identify themselves as Republican while 67% identify themselves as Democrat. Even independents tend to vote Democrat. If Trump goes up against any Democrat he will lose badly among Hispanic voters.
