One Arirang Ar-18 deluxe with remote:
this will only play midi and dvd, not regular cd+g karaoke discs. just for information, if you are not going to play karaoke discs then it is not an issue.
One Arirang PA-203 III mixing amplifier:
this is just not meant for karaoke (despite what they advertise). it is only 150W max at 4 ohms, that means with a standard PA speaker that is 8 ohms, you will get ~45 watts peak, 25 continuous. nor does it have real microphone inputs, only 1/4 inch instead of the standard microphone xlr.
One Sony Graphic Equalizer SEQ711
nice eq, just not needed in this scenario
One SONY STR-D1015 audio/video surround sound receiver:
using a hime AV system for karaoke will blow the speakers. they are just not made for live vocals and i have seen countless people destroy nice systems by using them for karaoke. plus this is only 120 watts max so avarage 60 watts continuous. you could most likely sing louder with no microphone over the output of this unit. not a bad one, just not made for this purpose.
assuming this is for home, ...

small, but has built in effects for the mics.

depending on the size of your room, one of these may be plenty.

quality, i use the larger versions for my pro rigs and they are great but much cheaper than others. the lowest quality i will recommend even for home use.
music and mics into the board, out from the board to the speaker....done. simple setup, quality sound, using the right gear made for the purpose, not breaking the bank or going overboard for home.
