Re: New music, where do I put it
It all depends upon where you store your songs. Personally I prefer an external drive because i always have a second laptop with me as a backup as well as a second drive. The reason for the external drive is to avoid the problem of the computer dying on me. This way I only lose the software but not ...

Re: Karaoke Home Setup Help!!!
If it has USB tilt doesn't go to a regular channel where you can adjust the eq. You would have to do that with your computer.

Drop the microb and the sonic maximize as those are definitely not needed with the board. Hook up the audio outside of the mixer into the speakers, one per output. Connect your laptop into one of the stereo channels of the mixer and your mics to the xlr inputs.

New laptop, at least to me.
I just bought my first gaming laptop. Can't wait for it to arrive. It is the first laptop that I have owned that has dedicated graphics. The software that I plan on using basically requires the regular memory to be free of dealing with graphics. Just waiting for them to add their remote request syst...

Probably need to hear don't do it
Thinking about getting another digital mixer. Only real reason that I got rid of the last one was pretty much poor connection between the tablet and the mixer on a friend's unit but I recently bought a router that has better connection than the onboard router of the mixer and that is why I think tha...

Always said that Karaosoft made good software
I got a new monitor for my singers and this actually has me changing my software choice. There's only one software that allows for triple displays it ends my era of sing along karaoke. Unless the audience knows the lyrics and when to sing it. But it allows me to put up advertising for the venue duri...

Re: Charge for singing
Partytyme.net sells downloads that are commercially legal in the USA. The company that was going out investigating and suing has actually put the operation on hold to concentrate on making new songs but is putting them out very slowly because of difficulty getting the rights. I really don't understa...

Get yourself a Behringer uncontrol soundcard. It plugs into your computer's USB port and has RCA outputs.

Made a decision on player hardware and software wise
Decided why go for a super computer when what I want to run works on my touchscreen desktop computer perfectly allowing me to totally minimize keyboard strokes and mouse usage. Only real need to use a mouse or keyboard is either choosing songs in the break player or buying songs on the fly off of th...

Re: I believe that I may have new life as a host
Ct is one of the lowest numbers getting the virus daily from closing down for a couple of months to slowly opening up. Some restaurants and bars that serve food are already bringing back karaoke in one fashion or another. A couple in my area are doing it on their patios, one show doing it the safe w...

Time to look back at PCDJ DEX 3
Doesn't have everything I am looking for but it is one software that allows me to have a decent filler player and karaoke player. Granted that it requires a higher end computer than most programs but I have 2 new laptops on the way that will meet the requirements of DEX 3 Pro.

Re: New setup
It depends on what version of karafun it is
Karafun 2 is available for download from their website today and is able to run on Windows 10. I prefer OoenKJ because it is available for all three OS platforms, Windows, Mac and Linux. I prefer Linux myself.

Re: New setup
Looks to me like the software is Windows compatible to me. Songlist Generator is only available for windows computers. One word of warning is that while the software has been pretty good the customer service sucks as the only answers they give is there's nothing wrong with the software just the user...
