That's why I love to arrive at a night with nothing but 60-year-olds singing Neil Diamond and whip some Foo Fighters on them. You'd be surprised - some of them actually like it!

Speaking just as a customer, I think it's fine. And I know my KJ gives the bartender and waitress a cut, so there's no hard feelings.

I feel your pain, but on the other hand, this is a high-larious story! Largely because we've all seen this type in action, and I always get a case of the uh-ohs when someone begins a speech before the song.

Wow! I've seen some bad displays by KJs, but none like this. I'm surprised none of the singers just went off and clocked 'em.

Oh yeah, definitely referring to the bar owner, not the singers. It's always good to keep in good stead with your followers, and it's certainly a good indication that a couple of them took the time to call you.

One person, one turn, I say. But that means they're two people, so they each get a song, backup activities or no. The only exception is the rare occurrence when someone has the gall to multiply these "duets" even when it's clear that one individual is dominating the singing. The nerve! ;-)

Geez. What a jerk. I hear way too many of these stories. I don't know, it may be best not to even mention the situation to future potential clients, because a seedy thing like that tends to introduce doubt in the client's mind, even though it was obviously totally not your fault.
