Bigdog, have you considered just adding your old CD+g player to your mixer and amp rack and run it into another channel of the mixer to use if someone brings their own disks?

Songs you rip from you CDG's skip when played on the machine? The CD audio treack plays just fine with the disc in the drive. I was quite excited at how fast my laptops drive was ripping but since I have to do it all over, Iam not so excited. I can't seem to get a clean rip off this thing. GRRR.

compuhost does pretty much everything you are looking for. The only down side of it is that I think it costs somewhere around $180. It has a good search feature but it wont search as you type. I have some of the Hisonic mics. They are ok. A lot of breath popping with them. most of that I can eliminate with electronics but not all. For the most part they seem to be fine. We will se how they last after being dropped a few times.
